Taryn is a Portuguese-Irish writer + director, currently working as the Writer’s Assistant on a new comedy show for NBC/Peacock produced by Hartbeat, Kevin Hart’s production company.
Taryn writes comedies and dramadies about girls getting into trouble. She’s a 2x Semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival (’21 + ’22), a finalist for the Rooster Teeth Women in Animation Fellowship (Hollywood Haunt), and a Semi-finalist for the Warner Brother’s Pilot Award (Father, Forgive Me). Her feature, FANGIRLS, was also an official selection for Coverfly’s Pitch Week (Spring 2023).
She also directs narrative and commercial work. Taryn’s latest campaign (Aday, SS’24) is airing right now. It can be found in local and national spots on any channel where moms watch reality television.
As a narrative director, Taryn’s animated comedy short, Wire Orgy was an official selection at the Austin, Houston + Portland Comedy Film Festivals, and nominated for Best Animation Film at the Rome Prisma International Awards.
Her new short film, Locals Only is a dark satire coming soon to a festival near you.

Taryn also works as an art director for fashion + lifestyle brands, providing concepts and on-set art direction for studio, lifestyle, and campaign photography. Her campaigns have been featured in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Washington Post + all over the internet.
